Alright! For all of you that don't know, yesterday, I went to a theatre competition called 'Trumbour'. I did two monologues (for those who aren't familiar with the term, it's a paragraph or so of your character saying something. You aren't allowed to have a partner). One comedic, and one classical dramatic. My comedic one was about a geek who was entertaining the idea of her promless evening, and the classical one was from the play Antigone by Sophocles where Antigone was being led to her death.

Now for the comedic one, I was a bit on pins and needles. I was feeling a bit nervous. I had to check the paper outside the classroom to see if this was the classical or comedic one. XDDD
But I went in there and I felt pretty good about it all.

Then, when I was about to go into another classroom to to my classical one, I was pacing in front of the door. When we were let in, Dalton and I sat in the back row. A few other people were in there, and this guy did his monologue. After he left, everyone but Dalton, me and the judges left.
Now me, I can only act when I'm in front of a group of five+. I really can't perform in front of two judges and Dalton. So, when I went up on the small stage in there (I think it was some type of multi-purpose room), my insides felt like they've just turned to lead, and I felt like I was really (metaphorically) about to die.
So I felt exactly like Antigone when I went up and said my lines. When I was done, my knees felt like pudding. I walked off the stage. I hardly looked at Dalton when I told him we had to go. When I went out of that room, I immediately slid down and sat, propped up against a wall.
I was still breathing pretty heavy and I think I was having some sort of breakdown, because I was laughing. Anyway, Dalton took me to a vending machine and got me a Rice Crispies Treat. After I practically inhaled the thing, I felt much MUCH better.

Later that night, Dalton was playing video games and I was watching him when I got a text from my brother.

Know what?
I'm going to STATE for BOTH of my monologues!!!
